Tamatea Consultants for Youth was established in 1994 and operates as a Charitable Trust. There is a Chairperson, 5 trustees, Manager and 3 staff. The region covered is Takapau, Pukehou, Kairakau, Kereru, Ruahine Range, Manawatu River and Akitio.

The funded health services provided are:

• Whanau Ora for health promotion and education services in all MHGPA

• One off establishment contract

• Maori liaison disability

Tamatea Consultants for Youth also has TOPs training, CYPFS and Corrections contracts.

Community development services provided without funding are:

• Transport for clients, especially kuia/kaumatua to HCHB and Palmerston North hospitals

• Have higher numbers of Maori Disability Liaison clients than funded for

• Hauora services to rangatahi under CYPFA and Correction contracts

Tamatea Consultants for Youth have 289 registered clients, of which 269 are Maori.
